Butterflies are literally miracles of nature. The metamorphosis of a somewhat plain caterpillar via the chrysalis and emerging as a majestic butterfly is almost beyond comprehension. Glen used to study butterflies and moths as a child and even tried his hand at rearing native and tropical specimens in the family conservatory - much to the horror of his mother. Butterfly Cluster is a piece inspired by Glen’s memories of how in years gone by the Buddleia bushes in his parents’ garden were swarming with feeding butterflies. In this piece, individually hand-painted butterflies have been scanned and positioned to create a colourful master butterfly montage.

Mounts
Our cream core mounts and backing boards are manufactured by an independent company in the South West of England. Each board is pH neutral and meets the Fine Art Guild’s approval for standard mount board. Your print will be secured to the mount using Kraft paper tape with the mount then being attached to the backing board.
Frames
We use Neilsen frames in our gallery and for all of the framed prints available in our online store. Neilsen produces premium aluminium frames, expertly crafted in Germany. The frames we offer are all glazed and are available in A4, A3 and A2 sizes in either frosted black or gloss white.
