Jam x Barn Owl Trust – Celebrating 40 Years of Conservation

July 2025
We’ve teamed up with the Barn Owl Trust to celebrate 40 years of conservation with a unique jigsaw puzzle and limited-edition fine art print by Ashburton artist Glen Middleham – one half of Jam. This stunning Barn Owl collage artwork, created from the Trust’s own archive of photographs, notes and posters, tells the charity’s story piece by piece. Every purchase helps protect Barn Owls and their habitats across the UK.

The collaboration
To mark the 40th anniversary of the Barn Owl Trust’s first Barn Owl release in 2025, we’re proud to present a special collaboration between Ashburton-based artist Glen Middleham, co-founder of Jam Contemporary Art, and the much-loved Dartmoor charity.
Glen has created a striking collage artwork, now available as a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle (£22), a limited-edition fine art print (from £85) and an A3 open edition print (£26). At first glance, you see a Barn Owl preparing to hunt at dusk; look closer and you’ll discover that the image is made entirely from fragments of the Trust’s own archive – handwritten field notes, old logos, posters, leaflets, slogans, facts and photographs – celebrating four decades of dedicated conservation work.
Glen first encountered the Barn Owl Trust almost 35 years ago, when they visited his primary school with a tame Barn Owl. That moment inspired his lifelong love of birds and the natural world – much of which is reflected in his art – and this project brings the journey full circle.
The Barn Owl Trust works to protect wild Barn Owls through rescue, education, research, sanctuary and habitat conservation. They receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations, which is why every puzzle and print sold will help support their vital work for years to come.
